Guru, Mantra & Ishta

Guru, mantra and ishta are the three points of the siddha trikut. The siddha trikut is the triangle which represents one's sadhana. Guru sits at the apex and gives shaktipat, initiates one into the sadhana, guides and nurtures them. Becomes their ray of light in the darkness. He's the one who introduced the seeker to his/her ishta devata. Ishta devata is the one responsible for one's accomplishments. He's always there with the seeker protecting them from problems, giving them power to do Sadhana and helping them cross the ocean of sansara. Mantra is the vehicle which the seeker rides to cross over the ocean if sansara. This Ishta devata becomes the rower, and guru is the light and navigator. So when guru, mantra and ishta are synchronised with the seeker's consciousness, then he/she reaches ultimate sidhhi/bramha dnyaan/moksha.

If we put it in more spiritual terms then, we can say that when the seeker realises that guru, mantra and ishta are the same and while doing the sadhana doesn't feel separate from them then he will definitely achieve the siddhi.

This state can be achieved with continuous practice of sadhana of mantra, puja of ishta and seva and following orders of the guru with full faith.
