A burning truth..

Nowadays it has become a fashion to insult and ignore the shastras. Everybody is behaving in an unruly and Neo rational way. They think that they can bend the shastras according to their whims. Everybody wants to become a famous kathavachak/ devotee. They are even misleading people into giving up on shastrokta upasana and asking them to just dance and sing in the name of god. Many are promoting nama japa without following nitya karma according to the shastras. They say that they don't want Vedas, Upanishadas, puranas, puja, yadnya, yaga etc.. they just want to do nama japa or andha bhakti of Hari. They think that the chanting of name itself will give them mukti.

But they should know one thing that Hari is Veda swaroopa. He's the atma of Vedas. So anybody who violates the Vedic code are actually his enemies. All four castes were designed by the supreme purush with their respective dharma and karma. Nowadays everybody seems to be interfering in each other's karmas. And this is the exact reason why nobody's experiencing the divine grace. To receive the grace one should become eligible for that. And the eligibility is granted by following the Vedic lifestyle.

Nitya karmas of a true vaishnav bramhan who wants to achieve moksha:

Shoucha, snana, Sandhya, Gayatri japa, tarpan, Agnihotra, shaligram puja, guru mantra japa, nama sankirtan, bali vaishwadev, daan, vedadhyayan and most importantly varnashrama samyut upajivika karma.

People who don't follow all this and just want to do the Nama japa, for them lord Shiva says the following in mahishamardini tantra:

आत्मानं वैष्णवं मत्वा अधमा भारते कलौ।

कर्णे कण्ठे तथा हस्ते हृदये नगनन्दिनि॥

विधृत्य तुलसीमालां तिलकं हरिमंदिरम्।

गृह्णीषुर्हरिनामानि सुस्वराणि गृहे गृहे।

अन्नस्य सञ्चयं कुर्यु: पाखण्डा मानवाधमा:॥

तेषां पापं महेशानि वर्णितुं नैव शक्यते।

विहाय संध्यां गायत्रीं हरेर्नाम स्मरेद्यदि॥

यान्यक्षराणि नाम्न्येव वसन्ति च शुचिष्मिते।

तावत् संख्यान्यनेकानि पापानि च पदे पदे॥

- महिषमर्दिनी तंत्र

कलियुग में भारत के अधम व्यक्ति स्वयं को वैष्णव मानकर कान, कण्ठ, हाथ तथा हृदय में तुलसीमाला, श्रीतिलक आदि चिह्न धारण करके घर घर मात्र उदरपूर्ति के लिए भगवान का नाम गाते हुए घूमेंगे। हे महेशानि ! मैं उन लोगों के पापों का वर्णन करने में समर्थ नहीं हूँ। सन्ध्या तथा गायत्री का (अवहेलना पूर्वक) परित्याग करके जो कोई हरिनाम का स्मरण करता है, उस नाम में जितने अक्षर होते हैं उतने जन्मों तक उसे उतनी संख्या तक बहुत पाप भोगना पड़ता है।

In the age of Kali, the ignorant people of jambudweepa or Bharatvarsha to be precise, will proclaim themselves as Vaishnavas and start wearing the sacred symbols of vaishnav tilak, tulasi mala etc.. They will go door to door, taking the name of Hari and spreading it to make money out of it rather than spreading it out of true devotion. Oh maheshani ! I am unable to describe the magnitude of their sins. Anybody who leaves Gayatri, sandhyopasana and nitya karma and does Hari nama smaran, goes to hell for number of births equal to the number of syllables in that name.

So be be aware of the facts before starting your spiritual journey.
