नीला सूक्तम्

Nila devi or Vishnu patni as mentioned in vedas is the primary consort of Vishnu. Who is none other than Bhu. She is the nurturing aspect of the greater prakruti i.e. aditi. Vishnu holds her in his embrace.

नीला सूक्तम्

ओ-ङ्गृ॒णा॒हि॒ ।घृ॒तव॑ती सवित॒राधि॑पत्यैः॒ पय॑स्वती॒रन्ति॒राशा॑नो अस्तु ।ध्रु॒वा दि॒शां-विँष्णु॑प॒त्न्यघो॑रा॒-ऽस्येशा॑ना॒सह॑सो॒या म॒नोता᳚ ।

बृह॒स्पति॑-र्मात॒रिश्वो॒त वा॒युस्स॑न्धुवा॒नावाता॑ अ॒भि नो॑ गृणन्तु ।वि॒ष्ट॒म्भो दि॒वोध॒रुणः॑ पृथि॒व्या अ॒स्येश्या॑ना॒ जग॑तो॒ विष्णु॑पत्नी ॥

ॐ शान्ति॒-श्शान्ति॒-श्शान्तिः॑ ॥

o-ṅgṛ̱ṇā̱hi̱ |ghṛ̱tava̍tī savita̱rādhi̍patyai̱ḥ paya̍svatī̱ranti̱rāśā̍no astu |dhru̱vā di̱śāṃ-viṁṣṇu̍pa̱tnyagho̍rā̱-’syeśā̍nā̱saha̍so̱yā ma̱notā̎ |

bṛha̱spati̍-rmāta̱riśvo̱ta vā̱yussa̍ndhuvā̱nāvātā̍ a̱bhi no̍ gṛṇantu |vi̱ṣṭa̱mbho di̱vodha̱ruṇa̍ḥ pṛthi̱vyā a̱syeśyā̍nā̱ jaga̍to̱ viṣṇu̍patnī ||

oṃ śānti̱-śśānti̱-śśānti̍ḥ ||

Om, may we sing your praises.

May the ghee-bearing (nourishing) rivers, under the lordship of Savitar (the sun god), rich with milk, approach us bringing prosperity.

May the steady (guardian) of directions, the dreadless consort of Vishnu, the sovereign of strength be favorable in her thoughts towards us.

May Brihaspati (Jupiter, the lord of speech), Matarishva (the wind), Vayu (air), and the twin wind-gods praise and bless us.

May the support of heaven and the foundation of earth, she who rules the world, the consort of Vishnu protect and sustain us.
