"yatīn śālāvṛkebhyaḥ prāyaccham"

"I gave the ascetics to the jackals"

The great Indra feeds the yatis, sanyasis vedantis, charvakas and nastikas to the jackals or hyenas. He does so to remove the rot, decay and prevent the depreciation of the society which is turning into a dead swamp. All the people who are overtly or covertly against the Vedas with their words, action or philosophy are slain by the Indra.
