Once upon a time a cow and a Tiger got stuck in the marshes. Both of them were drowning and trying to come up. But the cow was much calmer than the tiger and was not making any hasty movements. After pondering over the cow tiger not being able to sustain anymore, roared on it and questioned: " you are just a coward herb eating cow and why are you not afraid of death in this situation" ? Cow said: " I have a master who will come searching for me if I get late or don't reach home". Tiger enquired further "Are you sure ? that person is going to come ? It's better to try on your own to get out of this mess. People who believe in their own strength only can survive and win. Anyways is that person even capable enough to save you " ?
Cow replied calmly.
" I have full faith in my master that he will come to save me if he doesn't find me in the home before the time. Secondly there are some situations life where you need an external aid. Everytime you cannot overcome them on your own. So one must know where to take a bow. Lastly whether he is capable enough or not is not the question at all. It's the trust relationship between us. If he's not able to do it on his own he will bring others and take me out".
Ignoring the cow's words, the tiger out if it's ego and hollow self pride kept on trying till the end of the day but couldn't get out of the marshes and sinked even deeper due to excessive physical activities.
Whereas the cow remained calm. She waited. As soon as the sunset happened and the master didn't find his cow in the home he went out for search and after trailing it's previous whereabouts he reached to the marshes. He threw a lasso towards the cow and pulled it out. Both cow and master were very happy to see each other. They looked at tiger with pitty but due to it's over aggressive nature and excessive physical activities they couldn't help it and it drowned.
So moral of this is if one has a proper guru in life then it cannot drown in the worldly sea or "Bhavsaagar". Guru will make sure that you don't drown. Guru will also protect it's disciple in all the situations. In tantra it becomes even more significant as there are unknown dangers on that supreme path towards quick enlightenment.
People who have a guru and follow him meticulously, with full faith and devotion are like the cow's but they don't ever drown and attain enlightenment without any fear.
And people who walk the path of occult/esoteric practices/ Sadhana/upasana without a guru thinking that there's no need of master are like the tigers but they always end up drowning.
🙏 Om shri guru charan kamalebhyo namah 🙏
🙏 Namo Narasimha 🙏.
