Durga sadhana and siddhi:

The real siddhi in the sadhana of Durga is to have her as your full time bodyguard. Every shakti has it's own functions and characteristics.

Like wise Durga is known as protective fort. Whome she protects is very difficult to harm. So when you accomplish her through rigorous sadhana and subdue her and her retinue then she forms an impenetrable circle of her shaktis around you like the one mentioned in chandi kavach.

Durga is not easy to accomplish through sadhana. She challenges her sadhaka like Mahishasura through lust, despair, fear, greed, sloth, animosity etc... Who overcomes these wins over her and she accepts him as her love.

Durga always manifests in the form a virgin warrior protectress. Her beauty, sharpness, wisdom and love are unmatched. She can make alike narayana by removing all the obstacles in life like hiw Mahamaya does these for Shri man Narayan.

In ancient times few mahasiddhas had her as their personal assistant cum bodyguard. She followed them everywhere in the form of a virgin warrior. Many nath siddhas had this kind of complete siddhi.
